Top 10 danger zones of 2020 - Gosford ranks #1

5Mo ago 0 Replies 210 Views
The NSW suburb topped the list due to a number of factors including the recent bushfire risk, oversupply of units (at more than 72 per cent of existing stock) and that units unsuitable for families were not in high demand.Sydney+suburbs
It is hard to convince prospective buyers that this is the best investment they can make when there are plenty of other options available.
Another at-risk area is the suburb of Mascot with 1,061 units in the pipeline, at an addition of 17.67% to existing stock, and where news of the construction defects impacted the entire suburb.
Areas outside of Sydney and Melbourne, such as Darwin, experienced overall weakness in the property market due to low population growth (the Northern Territory was the only state in Australia that experienced population loss in 2017-18).

Price Median Sale Price- $1.8m Rent Median Rent Price- $640pw Summary Homebush is close to Strathfield Burwood and all surrounding suburbs, easy to just jump on a train 15 mins and you are in the CBD. It is really safe and close to major schools, shopping hubs and entertainment. The development of Sydney Olympic Park not only as a sporting facility but also general public event grounds means there’s almost always something worth attending on nearby. For shoppers, its DFO Homebush complex is one of the most popular places in Sydney to grab brand clothes/other goods at reduced prices. Buses are available, or Flemington, Strathfield and North Strathfield train stations are not far away. Food, fitness and a more relaxed lifestyle make Homebush a fantastic place to come home to at the end of the day.
